In this Australian comedy-drama Toni Collette is the wild and wacky Shaz, nanny to five girls whose mother has just been committed. Collette is reunited with her Muriel's Wedding director, PJ Hogan.

Shaz is hired by a philandering politician (Liev Schreiber) following his wife's nervous breakdown. After transforming the girls from town jokes into forces to be reckoned with, a secret from Shaz's past threatens to break up her new family.
